Despite being one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, it looks like some people are only just learning Will Smith's name.
Following his antics at last week's Academy Awards ceremony, it's no surprise that many people have been spending more time googling everything about the I Am Legend star.
Many fans have already been left surprised after learning that the rapper-turned-actor has a third child and that kids Jaden and Willow are named after their parents (Will > Willow, Jada > Jaden).
However, perhaps most surprisingly of all is the fact that some people are only just learning Will Smith's actual full name.
Yes, despite earning a legion of fans over his decades-long career in the music, television, and movie industries, many Twitter users have taken to social media over the last seven days to announce their surprise that 'Will' is not short for 'William'.
In fact, a quick Google search will tell you that Smith's full name is actually Willard Carroll Smith II. Unsurprisingly, the news left several social media users shook.
"Not to get slapped or anything but Will Smith’s first name is actually Willard…. Whole time I thought it was William," one Twitter user wrote.
A second added: "It took me 23 years to figure out Will Smith’s name isn’t William but Willard!"
"I was today years old when I found out Will Smith’s name is Willard and not William," tweeted a third.
"How did I not know that Will Smith’s first name is actually Willard and not William, I’m going insane," added a fourth.

As mentioned, this comes after some Twitter users also recently learned that Smith has a third child. As well as Willow and Jaden - who have become young stars in their own right - Smith also shares a son with actor-turned-reality TV star and ex-wife Sheree Zampino.
Willard Carroll Smith III - who more commonly goes by the name Trey Smith - is a DJ, who sone fans may rememember from his father's music video for the 1998 single 'Just The Two Of Us'. He also starred in two episodes of the 00s sitcom All of Us.
