Game of Thrones star revealed 'terrifying' reality behind her naked s*x scene that became 'most paused in TV history'

Actress Rose Leslie opened up about how "terrifying" it was to film a sex scene that has become the 'most-paused' scene in television history.
The actress, now 39, was starring as Ygritte in the HBO fantasy series Game Of Thrones alongside her real-life husband Kit Harington as Jon Snow when she filmed her first love scene.
She told Metro's Guilty Pleasures back in 2014: "That was my first ever sex scene. You have no idea how many takes that took.
"I felt certainly within that scene with Jon Snow and Ygritte that it needed to happen."
She revealed that it took place in front of "30 men", telling the Daily Star: "It was my first-ever scene like that - and it was terrifying.
"A closed set for taking your top off would normally mean there would be about four men. That's what would happen in any other TV production.
"But in the grand machine that is Game Of Thrones it's not like that. I was naked in a cave with about 30 men watching!
"I'm there saying 'Oh, so this is a closed set? Oh, OK'. It was slightly intimidating."
She added: "The wardrobe ladies on set were wonderful and would rush over with a dressing gown as soon as we cut. Otherwise I'd have been sitting there almost quite literally as a t**!"
The infamous scene involved Ygritte seducing Jon by stripping in front of him, as he began kissing her before slowly making his way further down.
Afterwards, Ygritte teases: "That thing you did with your mouth ... is that what lords do to their ladies in the south?", to which Jon responds: "I don't know, I just wanted to kiss you there is all."
According to WatchMojo, that steamy scene is the most-paused love scene in television history, coming in at number one on their list.
Leslie also told Entertainment Weekly in 2019: "I remember that scene took a day and it was a closed set, so only the amount of people who were essential to the filming were allowed to be present.
"It was such a moment for the two lovers to finally come together, and the promiscuous side of Ygritte was wanting to teach Jon Snow a few things.
"There was a lot of fun to be had in terms of her demeanor and the way she held herself. I remember enjoying this side of her. She was a lot of talk, but she ended up walking the walk.
"I felt very safe, and I remember enjoying that day just because it was a different element for both of those characters. And then we also got to jump into some hot water, so that’s always fun. We were pretty open to the elements, and being able to jump into the water, that was rather enjoyable."
She added that Harington was "as ever, a gentleman," and made sure she was comfortable with him at all times, turning around as soon as the director called cut, to allow Leslie to cover herself up with a dressing gown.
She added that the director would also wait until she was fully covered to give the cast and crew notes, revealing: "He was very considerate and made sure as much as possible that I didn’t feel awkward standing in front of people with your t*ts out.
"So it’s never going to be an enjoyable day, it’s always going to be an awkward one, but he and the rest of the crew were incredibly considerate, and it’s a conversation that we most certainly had in terms of where the boundaries lay."
