According to a new book about NFL star Tom Brady, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen brutally told her husband that she felt they were no longer compatible before she ended their 13-year marriage in 2022.
Author Lars Anderson wrote heavily about how Tom’s long and successful football career put a massive strain on their relationship and ultimately led to the demise of their marriage.
An insider reported to be close to the former New England Patriots star told Anderson: "One day, Gisele, who is really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and told Tom, ‘We’re not compatible.'"
"And just like that, she was done," he alleged in Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness, which was obtained by the Daily Mail.
Tom’s determination to continue playing football despite having two young children at the time. Since the 2017 Super Bowl, when the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons, Gisele had pushed for him to hang up his boots after 23 NFL seasons.
On that monumental night, the supermodel rushed onto the field to celebrate the Patriots’ victory and Brady’s sixth Super Bowl win, but instead of congratulating her husband, she allegedly said, "Would now be the perfect time to retire?"
According to the biography, hours later, Bündchen, 46, allegedly asked Brady, 49, again about retirement, to which he replied with: "Too bad, babe. I’m having too much fun right now."
A year later, in 2018, shortly after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, Bündchen wrote a serious note to Brady, asking him to dedicate more time to their young family.
Anderson writes: "She needed him to be present when he was at home, not responding to text messages on his constantly buzzing cell phone or replaying a game in his mind."
"She needed more help with the kids. She needed the chance to sleep in just a few days a week. She needed more time for her own career," he added.
An unnamed former teammate of Brady’s spoke out about the potential struggles of being married to the former quarterback.
The friend and colleague also said that Gisele was "a bigger international star" than the athlete and was probably "getting tired of living" on his schedule.
Anderson reports that the teammate said: "The guy gets up at the crack of dawn, thinks all day about a game that is foreign to his wife, comes home, and is in bed each night by nine.
"He can’t really eat out or go out without causing a scene. Everything he puts in his mouth tastes like s**t. The whole lifestyle had to be getting tiresome for Gisele," he said.
