Gordon Ramsay didn’t hold back during his daughter Holly’s wedding - and it’s his jab at the in-laws that’s turning heads.
The 59-year-old celebrity chef reportedly delivered a cheeky swipe at Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty’s family during his father of the bride speech on Saturday, December 27, in Bath, per The Independent.
The moment came as the newlyweds celebrated in front of 200 guests, including some big-name stars like David and Victoria Beckham.
But not everyone was in attendance - namely Peaty’s own parents.
Adam Peaty’s parents were nowhere to be seen
While Peaty’s sister Bethany had a role in the bridal party, the rest of his family was notably absent from the high-profile wedding.
According to reports, Peaty’s mother Caroline was left heartbroken over being excluded from pre-wedding events, including Holly Ramsay’s hen party.
She’s previously spoken out about the rift, saying the couple has “cut her heart out” and revealing a “hurtful” text exchange with her son in the lead-up to the ceremony.
“So hurt,” she said, describing the current state of their relationship. Instead of attending the lavish celebration in Bath, Peaty’s parents reportedly stayed home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
Ramsay reportedly roasted his new in-laws during his speech
During his speech, Ramsay praised Holly and had warm words for Peaty - but couldn’t resist adding a little spice.
The chef reportedly called Peaty a “lucky man” and said his daughter looked stunning.
Then came the punchline, a nod to his wife of nearly three decades: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”
But it didn’t end there.
In what many believe was a pointed jab at Peaty’s own parents, Ramsay allegedly followed up with: “Shame you don’t have the same.”
No word yet on how the crowd reacted to that alleged zinger - though with a guest list including the Beckhams, you’ve got to wonder if the room went silent or burst out laughing.
Peaty called his coach ‘like a mum’ in emotional speech
Despite the tension surrounding his family, Peaty still made time to reflect during his own wedding speech.
He gave a heartfelt shout-out to his longtime swim coach Mel Marshall, calling her a major influence in his life.
According to reports, he told guests she had “grounded and inspired” him - and described her as “like a mum.”
A source told The Sun that the couple didn’t let the drama dampen their big day. “The ceremony was magical and the reception very emotional, there were a lot of tears,” the insider said. “Gordon made an amazing speech that had everyone laughing and crying.”
“None of the outside noise overshadowed what was an occasion filled with heartfelt joy and happiness for two people who are very much in love.”
Adding another layer to the family drama, Peaty’s brother James may have thrown in a subtle dig of his own.
He shared a cryptic image on social media that some interpreted as a message tied to the ongoing feud. While the meaning hasn’t been confirmed, the timing didn’t go unnoticed.
