Blanchard - best known for her involvement in the murder of her mother, a crime story that gripped the nation - has put rumors to rest by confirming that Ken Urker is the father of her upcoming bundle of joy.

It came after there were rumors that her estranged husband Ryan Anderson - whom she married behind bars in July 2021 - could have been the father, despite their split earlier this year.

The 32-year-old shared the DNA test results in an Instagram post on Tuesday, November 5, debunking all the paternity theories swirling around.

Blanchard, whose life story was the subject of intense public scrutiny, expressed relief in finally addressing the public speculation, stating, "There’s been a lot of chatter around the paternity of our baby and while we’ve known for sure from the beginning, I feel that it’s finally time to put all these theories to rest."

She accompanied her post with a heartfelt acknowledgment of Urker's future role as a father, sharing their excitement about their baby girl's imminent arrival.

"Ken is going to be an incredible dad and we are so excited to welcome our baby girl into the world," she added in the post.

This news comes amid a tangled web of legal implications regarding the paternity acknowledgment due to Blanchard's previous marriage to Ryan Anderson.

According to Louisiana law, Anderson could have been presumed the father since Blanchard was still legally his wife when the baby was conceived.

Per PEOPLE, state law reads: "If the mother is married to someone other than the biological father when the child was conceived or has been divorced for less than 300 days at the time of birth, the husband/ex-husband shall be the presumed father, unless paternity is established for the biological father."

However, the recent paternity test has cleared the way for Urker to claim his rightful place on the birth certificate, assuming legal hurdles are navigated successfully.

Blanchard and Urker, who initially connected while Blanchard was serving a prison sentence for her involvement in her mother's murder, have had a storied relationship.

Urker began as a pen pal before proposing in 2018. Despite their separation and Blanchard's subsequent marriage to Anderson, the pair reconnected and reignited their relationship upon her December 2023 release.

The couple's journey back to each other was not just romantic but complex, given Blanchard's parole conditions and her residing with her parents while on parole. She candidly discussed the logistics of co-parenting and living arrangements on Nick Viall's podcast, The Viall Files, revealing the challenges they anticipate as they prepare to navigate life with their new baby.

"So I am still living with my parents in Cut Off, which is an hour away from [Urker]," Blanchard said of her dad's home in Louisiana," she said.

"I'm gonna be living there until I'm off of parole. So we're like, okay, how is this gonna work whenever the baby's born? Like, how many days could I spend with you, and how many days can you spend with me?" Blanchard continued.

"You know, who will she be with? As, you know, we're going back and forth, and we're doing kind of essentially co-parenting even though we are together."

Gypsy-Rose and Ryan announced their split in April and she and Ken revealed they were expecting in July, stating that their baby would be born in January 2025 - meaning the child would have been conceived around April.

Anderson had also previously spoken out about the anguish he was facing regarding the pregnancy.

Sharing his thoughts during a TikTok livestream on August 10, he told his followers: "I have to get a DNA test. I don't have a choice," adding: "I hate being in this situation."

As they gear up to welcome their daughter, Gypsy-Rose and Ken's story adds a new chapter to an already extraordinary life saga.
