Now that the wedding of the year is done and dusted, you'd think that public interest in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would have dwindled. But you'd be completely wrong. Fascination with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remains at an all-time high around the world, with millions of people watching their every move.

And, of course, there is one very important thing that all fans of the British royal family apparently need to know. Namely, when will the sixth in line to the throne and his new wife have a baby? After all, in the words of a well-known children's playground song "First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in the baby carriage."

So, do babies look like they're on the cards? To be honest, it's anyone's guess, with the royal couple keeping schtum on whether they'll be adding a little one to their family yet. However, one thing we do know for sure is that if they have a little girl, she will be receiving an adorable present from her mother.

Recently an old interview with the former Suits star surfaced, in which she revealed that she plans on passing down her Cartier Tank Française watch, engraved with a sentimental message, if she has a little girl.

In 2015, she told Hello! Canada: "When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version. I had it engraved on the back, 'To M.M. from M.M.' And I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them."

Pretty cute, right? Seems like any daughter of Meghan's will be lucky to have her as a mother.

From this interview, we can certainly gather that she wants kids, something that she also reportedly spoke about to her former agent Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne. "She said to me, 'I would absolutely love to have children, and I can't wait to be a mother,'" Nelthorpe-Cowne allegedly said.

In addition, during their engagement interview that was broadcast back in November 2017, the pair were both asked about their future plans for children, with Prince Harry telling the interviewer: "One step at a time, and hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future."

He had previously, in 2015, told Today: "Of course, I’d love to have kids right now, but there’s a process that one has to go through. […] It would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure."

Now that Harry does have that special someone by his side, is it full-speed ahead, or are the two going to enjoy having some time to themselves as newlyweds? At the moment, Meghan is 36-years-old, sparking rumours that the couple may be keen to have a baby sooner rather than later.

Whatever happens, one thing is for sure: the world cannot wait to meet Meghan and Harry's future child.
