Nearly two years after one of Hollywood’s most shocking breakups, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are said to be rebuilding a post-divorce friendship.
The former couple, who ended their 27-year marriage in 2023, have reportedly reached a turning point after finalizing their divorce this June.

Behind the scenes, however, things were far more complex — involving high-stakes financial negotiations, emotional fallout, and speculation about the timeline of Jackman’s new romance.
Furness Speaks Out: ‘A Traumatic Journey of Betrayal’
Following the official filing for divorce in May 2025, Furness broke her silence in a statement to the Daily Mail, sharing a deeply personal reflection on the collapse of her marriage: “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.
“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.”

Financial Wrangling Delayed Divorce Filing
While the couple publicly announced their separation in 2023, their divorce was not officially filed until May 2025 due to drawn-out negotiations over their massive shared fortune.
Jackman’s net worth is estimated at $200 million, with the couple’s combined wealth believed to be around $250 million.
“There was no prenup,” an insider revealed.
“When they got married, they thought it would be forever. Who doesn’t? At the time, neither of them expected Hugh’s career to get as enormous as it has.”
