Christine Tran Ferguson has shared an update following the heartbreaking death of her one-year-old son, Asher.
As previously reported, the 37-year-old influencer took to Instagram where she poured her emotions into a heartfelt tribute to her son, who had recently lost his life.
"Today marks 15 months since my little angel came into this world," she expressed in the poignant post. "Mama and dada's love for you knows no bounds. You brought an immeasurable amount of joy to us, completing our family in ways we could have never imagined. The love and happiness you introduced into our lives is beyond measure."
Ferguson continued: "You were an incredibly bright and joyful little boy. Your potential was limitless, and it was evident that you were destined for greatness.
"I miss every giggle, the way you playfully stuck out your tongue, your tiny chubby fingers gripping onto food, those precious dance moves, your applause, the energetic kick of your little feet against a ball, and the way you reached for daddy's hockey or golf sticks. You held the magic of spreading smiles to everyone around you."
Following this tragic news, the influencer has since posted a heartbreaking update which further highlights the pain that she is feeling.
"We should be preparing our trip to Italy next week. Instead I’m looking at these photos from our first family vacation almost exactly a year ago at 4 months old," Ferguson wrote.
She explained that she and her husband Ryan had plans to show Asher where they got married in Positano before venturing off to Tuscany together.
"I can’t believe it's been over a month since we last held you in our arms, kissed you, smelled you, hearing your little laugh, your little walk," she continued. "I want it all back so badly! I’m forever heartbroken, forever changed. 14 months with you was not long enough. I thought I had forever, we had so many plans for the future and it’s just gone.
"I pray and pray we find the strength to carry you with us. It's so hard, incredibly hard. For now, we cherish these memories we had with you forever. Mommy & Daddy can’t wait to be with you again."
Earlier in July, Ferguson had sought prayers from her followers after disclosing that her son was in critical condition in the ICU. "In the face of this dire circumstance, we implore for a miracle, a chance to hold onto our sweet Asher," she wrote at that time.
"We yearn for his laughter, his smile—his presence. Please join us in prayer for our beloved Asher, who fights for his life in the ICU."
Although the specifics of Asher's passing remain undisclosed, an earlier post indicated that he had experienced a challenging birth due to an umbilical cord complication.
"The medical team informed us that the umbilical cord had entangled around his neck, causing his heart rate to drop during contractions," Ferguson shared in an earlier Instagram post.
"Grateful to our remarkable doctors, who safely delivered him. The moment I finally held him, my heart overflowed with blessings and gratitude. Being your mother has bestowed upon me a love like no other."
Our thoughts continue to be with the Ferguson family during this difficult time.
