Performing at the Grammy Awards is a coveted honor and winning a Grammy is an unprecedented achievement. However, I'd be happy just to receive the lavish gift bag that's on offer at this evening's awards.

Yes, Grammy performers and presenters are in for a treat this year, as they will receive a lavish gift bag worth a staggering $36,000, courtesy of Los Angeles-based marketing company Distinctive Assets.

Unlike the Oscars, where only a select few nominees get a coveted gift bag, the Grammys ensure that every presenter and performer is treated equally, according to CNBC.

"The Grammys is all about equity," Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary says. "Every presenter and every performer is treated the exact same way."

That means that a total of 145 individuals are set to receive the extravagant goodie bags. Working with the show's organizers, Fary revealed that most recipients will be presented with these large duffel bags - stuffed with nearly 60 carefully curated products - during rehearsals for the show.

Let's take a sneak peek inside this year's incredible Grammy gift bag:

Mind-Blowing Mentalist Show: The most valuable inclusion in the 2024 Grammy gift bag is a private performance from mentalist Carl Christman, valued at $25,000. Lucky recipients will enjoy a live show that combines magic, mind-reading, hypnosis, and comedy for an unforgettable experience.

Sips and Socks: On the more affordable side, there's a case of Poppi fruit juice-based soda valued at $8.99, along with some stylish socks from Pair of Thieves valued at $12.99.

Tech and Gadgets: The bag includes a state-of-the-art robotic pool cleaner from Aiper, valued at $699, allowing owners to monitor and clean their pool remotely from their phones. Also, a $299 smart bird feeder from Bird Buddy captures photos of visiting birds and sends them as digital postcards. Grammy recipients will also receive noise-canceling headphones from Dyson, priced at $699, with an attachment that provides purified air when needed.

Pet Luxury: The gift bag features pet food from Smack, a Canadian brand known for kibble made from raw, dehydrated organic and non-GMO ingredients, valued at $282. It comes in a stylish canvas tote.

Sleep Consultation: Grammy recipients will receive a $299 sleep consultation with a renowned sleep expert and neuroscientist from Wesper. The voucher offers insights into sleep patterns and actionable advice for optimal health.

Luxury Home Décor: A luxury handmade Cate Brown toss pillow, crafted from vintage heritage fashion and exquisite deadstock textiles, graces the bag, valued at $495.

With 145 individuals set to receive a goodie bag that CNBC reports is valued at around $36,000 - that means a whopping $5,220,000 worth of goods is set to be handed out.

While celebrities are thrilled to receive these gifts, they are also informed about potential tax implications, especially for high-value items like Carl Christman's magic show. Fary advises that any business gift worth $25,000 must be dealt with according to their accountant's guidance. However, there are no immediate tax implications unless the gift is redeemed.
