John Legend has gotten himself a tattoo that matches his wife Chrissy Teigen, in honor of the child the couple lost in a miscarriage.
Chrissy first told her fans that she had been suffering from pregnancy complications and severe bleeding on September 28, when she posted an update from her hospital bedside.

Just a few days later, 34-year-old Teigen and 41-year-old Legend issued a heartbreaking statement to the public, revealing they had lost their child.
In the images shared on October 1, Chrissy can be seen lying in a bed in hospital, cradled by John. The pictures were captioned:
"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before.
"We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions.
"It just wasn’t enough."

Chrissy continued: "We never decide on our babies' names until the last possible moment after they're born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack."
"So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever."
Now, the celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter (also known as Winter Stone) has shared an image of the matching tattoos Legend and Chrissy have gotten together in little baby Jack's memory.

Taking to his official Instagram account, the artist (who has previously inked the likes of Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Ashlee Simpson, Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, and Lucy Hale) shared a picture of the simple design with his 469,000 followers.
The picture showed the name "Jack" tattooed on Chrissy and John's arms in a cursive font. It was captioned: "@chrissyteigen @johnlegend My heart is with you, sending you all the love! [sic]"

In an Instagram post made on October 17, Legend shared a video with his 13.3 million Instagram followers of Billboard Music Awards, where he dedicated his live performance of the song 'Never Break' to Chrissy.
In a moving caption, Legend wrote: This is for Chrissy. I love and cherish you and our family so much. We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together. Watching you carry our children has been so moving and humbling."

He added: "I’m in awe of the strength you’ve shown through the most challenging moments. What an awesome gift it is to be able to bring life into the world. We’ve experienced the miracle, the power and joy of this gift, and now we’ve deeply felt its inherent fragility."
Chrissy and John recently made their first appearance out in public at an election rally, where the couple professed their support for Democrat nominee Joe Biden.
