In tonight’s episode, emotions ran high as housemates received letters from home. JoJo, 21, asked Chris Hughes, 32, to read hers aloud — a letter that included a subtle message about her partner, Kath Ebbs, cited by the Mirror.

Her mother wrote: “The most important thing to tell you is a message from Kath because I know you really miss them the most. Kath’s keen to see you when you get out.'"

The term "keen to see [her] hasn't sat so well.

But while the message may have been sweet on the surface, it left JoJo uneasy.

“I honestly like, I'm finding myself really analysing that note and I don't like it,” she later admitted to Jack P Shepherd.

When Jack asked if she was trying to find a “hidden message” in the letter, Chris reflected to Big Brother that reading it was an emotional moment for him.

“I nearly started crying before I said anything, just where it said, ‘Dear JoJo’. And it was nice, her partner’s in there, her mum’s in there,” he said. “Two very important people. It was an honour; it was an honour to read out her letter.”

Later, in the diary room, JoJo got candid about how deeply she misses Kath.

“I said goodbye to them at the airport and it was a really hard goodbye. And then they were the last person I talked to before I gave up my phone for the Big Brother house. God, I love that little sucker. I do,” she told Big Brother.

“I do have beef to pick with them though, they didn’t even say in the note that they love me. I will not let them live that down. I will say, ‘where was my ‘hi sweetheart’, where was my ‘I love you’ where was my ‘I miss you’?’.

“Like happy you’re keen to see me when I get out of here, keen to see you as well, but come on baba, give me a little something something.”

But while JoJo’s emotional side has captivated fans, her relationship with Chris Hughes has sparked a much different reaction — outrage.

On Monday night’s episode (April 21), viewers were left disturbed by an uncomfortable exchange between the two housemates. Sitting on the sofa, Chris noticed chocolate on his shorts and turned to JoJo with a bizarre request.

“Oh, right lick that off please. That’s got to come off,” he said, before repeating, “Right, lick that off, please, that has to go.”

He then pointed to the specific spot on his shorts, joking: “Imagine that wasn’t chocolate. Lick it, you freak.”

JoJo played along, saying she needed to “bite it off,” and later added she did a “pretty good job on my behalf.”

Chris agreed. Cameras showed JoJo’s head near Chris’s crotch — a scene that quickly made its way to social media.

Things didn’t stop there. Chris also showed JoJo an ingrown hair near his groin, which she proceeded to pull out for him.

The backlash was swift and loud.

“I am a Chris and JoJo friendship defender but Chris is going too far, at the end of the day, she is over a decade younger than him and has made her lack on romantic interest clear,” one viewer tweeted.

Another added: “So Mickey gets removed for being disgusting with the women but telling JoJo to lick his shorts isn’t disgusting? Chris showed his true vile colours tonight knew there was something off about him.”
