It's no secret that, over the years, Kanye West has had a fair number of feuds with people. He's had beef with everyone from Taylor Swift (after he infamously interrupted her acceptance speech at the VMAs) Wiz Khalifa, and even former President George W Bush. But one of his most well-publicised rivalries is with Drake. It's no secret that Ye doesn't seem to think too highly of Drake, and Drake hasn't minced words when it comes to describing his dislike of Kanye either.
The trouble first began earlier this year, after the two musicians collaborated together, which led to Drake denouncing West in several songs and live performances. The exposure of Drake's child by Pusha-T was also attributed by Drake to Kanye during an appearance on LeBron James' The Shop, since the two men had often discussed each other's personal issues together. For a while it seemed as though the controversy had died down, but now it appears as though the two men are back at each other's throats, after a seemingly-innocuous issue.
It seems as though Kanye has recently discovered that Drake has followed his wife, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, on Instagram: despite the fact that his and Kanye's relationship is still very much soured. Taking to Twitter, Kanye launched into an angry tirade, writing: "I never knew till this morning that Drake followed my wife on Instagram back in September ... I had to bring this up because it's the most f—ked up thing of all and I just saw it this morning ... Imagine having a problem with somebody and they follow your wife on Instagram. We truly wish this man the best and pray that he will find the same happiness that we have. Love everyone."
Recently, Kanye also took to Twitter to accuse Drake of threatening his family, tweeting: "Drake called me threatening me. So Drake if anything happens to me or anyone from my family you are the first suspect - So cut the tough talk." Kanye went on to claim that he was the one who was responsible for Drake's success, writing: "I’m the guy with the pink polo that made a way for him ... there would never be a drake without a Kanye west so never come out your mouth with a threat ... I’m your oxygen. ... You trying to be a bully. I never been bullied in my life and I never will be. That’s why I made it this far in a pink polo."
It remains to be seen whether the two of them will ever be able to patch things up and get back to the way they were: but when there are egos of this magnitude at play, then who knows how things may end up being resolved. Come on guys; try to kiss and make up in the next year? All this outrage is getting kinda old.
