Becoming a mom for the first time is never anything close to easy, but for Khloé Kardashian, it's been especially hard. Bringing baby True into the world the shadow of intense public scrutiny, the 33-year-old has also had to deal with issues of infidelity from baby daddy Tristan Thompson, and people have been quick to criticise her at every opportunity, telling Khloé her post-pregnancy diet's no good, or simply that her adorable baby is "not cute at all".

It's been a weird time for her, but in the wake of her latest revelation, you'd hope the online vitriol tones down, if only a little. While this latest news wasn't available on TMZ or on her app, by trawling the archives of Twitter, you can discover that Khloé Kardashian has given up on breastfeeding after just three months.

A cursory glance at Khloé K's tweets will reveal that she's been talking to other mothers on the social networking site, trying to make sense of it all, lamenting all the different ways she tried to nurse baby True, eventually making the heartbreaking decision to wean her off.

"I tried every trick in the book- water, special cookies, power pumping, massages etc. I tried so very hard to continue," Khloé added in a later tweet, and even revealed she'd gone as far as having a lactation specialist on hand, so desperate was she to continue breastfeeding.

What happened next was a welcome break from the constant hate that seems to follow the Kardashians around, like a paparazzo who's really late on the rent. Finding solidarity with her fellow moms, Khloé K opened up about her struggles with breastfeeding, and listened to other mothers in similar situations, offering her support to them as well.

While I've never had a baby myself, the struggle of knowing that your baby is hungry and that you can't quite produce enough milk for them must be both a mentally and physically taxing affair, and while it was clearly not an easy decision, you have to commend Khloé for not only making the difficult choice, but also to talk about her struggles openly on Twitter.

"Oh my gosh I was the same!!" she replied to a fan who was talking through her own troubles and stresses. "I fought and fought to try and continue but then when I actually stopped, I didn't realize what a relief it was for me to not stress and worry anymore. Any sec I had of downtime I was stressing to produce more for the next feeding."

Although as a new mom Khloé K might be loathe to stop breastfeeding, it might inadvertently help her out as she returns to work; earlier that day, Khloé K revealed that her maternity leave was over, and that she was "anxious" to get back to work, although baby True gave her new "motivation".

I think it just goes to show: motherhood is hard for anybody, even if you're a Kardashian. She might have all the social media fame in the world, but at the end of the day, she's still a human being, working hard to raise a child in this sometimes difficult world. Let's all cut her some slack once in a while.
