Khloé Kardashian calls out mom-shamers who criticized her for leaving True with Tristan Thompson while she went out
This year, for whatever reason, has been the year of the Kardashians. It's not as if they've spent the last few years not dominating headlines and pulling in astounding viewing figures, but this year saw them multiply at an alarming rate. Not only did we see Kim K have her third child (Chicago) with husband Kanye West, but we also saw Kylie Jenner's mysterious disappearance eventually explained with the birth of her daughter (Stormi).
Then, of course, came the birth of Khloé's child, True, with her partner Tristan Thompson. In the midst of this momentous occasion, there was also a scandal involving Tristan's alleged infidelity.
Only a matter of days before True was born, photos were released of Thompson 'getting close' to several women during nights out in New York. The photos were from months earlier, but they were released just moments before the baby was due.
In the months since this, inside sources reported that Khloé and Tristan are in couples therapy. While Khloé has only shown support for her husband in recent months, many fans have been critical. And, according to one insider, all may not be well between the celebrity couple.
“Khloé and Tristan are still not fully OK,” a source told US Weekly. “They act like they are when they’re in front of others, but it’s all a show at this point." A separate source confirmed that they were in therapy as a couple, but added that it hadn't really helped.
"He’s no longer going with Khloé for [therapy] sessions," the second source stated. "He just didn’t feel it was helping to discuss sh-t that happened months ago."
In addition to this, Hollywood Life revealed that the NBA star is happy to step back onto the court, and away from the public nature of the Kardashian family:
"He really hates the public nature of it all that the Kardashians and the relationship brings to his life and the sense of being trapped still exists with Khloé as much as he is trying to make it work it still is a tough time being with her. He misses being single.”
Not all the critical comments received are about their relationship, as some fans and Instagram-perusers have felt it was necessary to mom-shame Khloé for her style of motherhood.
On her Snapchat, Khloé presented herself out with her sisters at a charity poker tournament to benefit City of Hope, a nonprofit cancer research and treatment centre. However, some felt that this was an issue, as she had left her child at home.
With her patience wearing thin, Khloé took to Twitter to complain about them, writing:
"Mommy shamers r at a high right now. I’m sick, at a charity event & I’m getting slack 4being here bc I have a baby? Her dad is watching her while I’m trying 2bring awareness 2an amazing organization. But either way, what’s wrong w a new mom letting daddy take over 4a few hours?"
It's not as if people ask the same question when they see Tristan somewhere other than with his partner and child, is it? Every mother deserves a night away from it all from time to time, especially when there's a dad on hand to take over.
