Well, folks, it's been a little while since the last bout of Kardashian drama, so it's about time we got some fresh stuff in, don't you think?
We've had the whole cheating scandal, the Jordyn Woods/Kylie Jenner breakup/make-up, and Taylor Swift's belated call-out of Kim Kardashian for her 'snake' comments all those years back. Now, it's time for Khloé's 'Love Thy Neighbor' Instagram post, which is making waves of the not-so-good kind on social media.
The post in question showed what appeared to be a T-shirt with the following words printed on it:
"Love Thy Neighbor
Thy Homeless neighbor
Thy Muslim Neighbor
Thy Black Neighbor
Thy Gay Neighbor
Thy White Neighbor
Thy Jewish Neighbor
Thy Athiest Neighbor
Thy Racist Neighbor
Thy Addicted Neighbor"
Above the image, Khloe wrote: "Love is the only cure."
As sweet as the sentiment may seem at a quick glance, a read-through of the instructions will very quickly reveal a glaring odd one out. Need a hint about which one Kardashian fans are upset about? Well, here's just some of the hundreds of outraged Twitter users who noticed it:
Yes, Khloé Kardashian (who has a mixed race child) seemingly thought it was fine to encourage people to love their racist neighbours.
Every other item on the list is something that can't be controlled (race/sexuality etc.) or something that should be treated with acceptance or empathy (religion/addiction problems/homelessness) - but some people have argued that racism does not deserve that kind of tolerance.
Then, as if she hadn't already dug herself a deep enough hole, she decided to offend her fans even more by showing her ignorance when someone tweeted about not being able to afford a pair of her jeans.
And, once again, people weren't happy, with one tweeter describing Khloé Kardashian as "tone-deaf".
There's basically only two conclusions we can draw from both these instances: either Khloé Kardashian is selectively ignoring posts on social media, or she can't read. Either way, the 34-year-old's got a lot to answer for.
