It's been about a month since Khloé Kardashian's high-profile split with Tristan Thompson, and it must have been quite the four weeks for the 34-year-old.

This time last month, we were hearing reports that Jordyn Woods had stayed over at Tristan Thompson's place following a house party - the basketball player having seemingly worked his way out of the doghouse after cheating on Khloé back in April of 2018 - and since then, it's been cryptic social media likes, mysterious Instagram stories, and Kylie Jenner's really sad abs.

But as they say, time heals all wounds, and as Tristan posts pictures of himself drinking wine and having dinner with other women, Khloé is focusing on herself, leaning on her loved ones, and pledging to move forward with her life. Even if that means not appearing on the Bachelorette. Especially if it means not appearing on the Bachelorette.

But how is Khloé Kardashian really doing? You can only tell so much from social media selfies and Twitter posts, and while we can hear from "sources close to the family" until the cows come home, it's a relief to finally hear from someone who actually knows what's going on with Khloé.

Outside of her immediate family, that person is Malika Haqq.

The pair have been through thick and thin together, and as best friends go, Malika is right up there; the 36-year-old has been by Khloé's side since news of Tristan's two-timing tendencies reared their ugly head once more, and gave us an important update as to how Khloé's doing.

"Khloé is good. She's doing really good," Malika explained to Entertainment Weekly, and I feel like that explains exactly where Khloé's at right now.  Malika and Khloé go way back, you see, and Malika explained that their close bond is at least a factor in why Khloé's on the mend as we speak.

"I'm able to be a Malika because I have a Khloe. We take care of each other," Malika explained, saying that the pair "don't judge each other".

"We're a duo that's really tough to come by, but we are blessed to have each other and we build off of that. We can tell each other when either one is right or wrong, but no matter what we just stick together. That is all that really matters to us.

"When you have someone who has your back no matter what, it's like a family member. You know how your mother was like, 'You're in trouble, you're wrong, but I still got your back.' That's the nature of our relationship."

Another great part of being Khloé's best bud is getting to play aunt to baby True, who was born last April and who's growing bigger by the second. "It's the best thing ever," gushed Malika over her adopted niece. "True is the cutest, smallest, brown version of Khloe I could have asked for."

Khloé Kardashian might have had her heart broken, but after that pain, she's beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. With friends like Malika Haqq by her side, Khloé has the best chance of moving on and growing emotionally after such a tough breakup.
