It's sad to say, but many women become rather ashamed of their bodies while pregnant. With their tummies (and other areas) swelling as their child grows, you might well be forgiven for not showing as much skin as you might do usually, and for wanting to cover up a bit more.

But it doesn't have to be like this, and on social media more and more pregnant women are showing off their curves and their baby bumps as a way of embracing the experience of early motherhood.

Case in point: Khloé Kardashian's best friend Malika Huqq has posted a particularly risqué nude pregnancy picture, updating her followers after eight months.

On Tuesday, Malika took to Instagram to share a stunning black-and-white nude photo of herself cradling her baby bump and covering her chest. She captioned the post: "We're tiny but mighty #8months [sic]."

Malika first announced her pregnancy back in September, uploading to Instagram an image of a positive pregnancy test, which she captioned: "I listen to my heart, and I've decided that the rest of my life will be the best of my life. I'm pregnant! I didn't know when I just knew one day. God said it's my turn, and I couldn't be more grateful for the little spirit that grows inside of me. [sic]"

In November, the 36-year-old shared a pic of her baby bump and revealed that she was expecting a little boy, writing:'It’s A Boy!!! I’m thankful to my baby boy and @BioOilUSA for my pregnancy glow."

But another model and celebrity who hasn't been shy about stripping off or showing some skin while pregnant is Ashley Graham. In fact, just the other week she took to Instagram to share some pics of her own baby bump while clad in her own new inclusive swimwear line.
