Kim Kardashian explained the reason behind her controversial sex tape with Ray J.
The reality star previously opened up about the incident, which shot the 45-year-old to fame back in 2007.
Kardashian, who has been married three times, said that she was on ecstasy when she got married the first time, to music producer Damon Thomas.
But that's not all, as the actress admitted that the drug played a part in her most infamous moment.
Speaking in a 2018 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she opened up to sister Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick about reports of her being high at a theme park.
Apparently, the mom-of-four isn't opposed to dabbling in the party drug from time to time, explaining that her use of the substance was more obvious than you'd think.
Kim Kardashian was on ecstasy during the sex tape
The socialite claimed to her family members: “I did ecstasy once and I got married,
“I did it again, I made a sex tape. Like, everything bad would happen.”
Disick was surprised by her admission, asking: “You were high on ecstasy when you [made] that sex tape?”
Kardashian thought it was fairly obvious, highlighting: “Absolutely. Everyone knows it. Like, my jaw was shaking the whole time.”
While the sex tape was filmed in 2003, it was uploaded to the internet in 2007, arguably kickstarting her career and leading to her becoming a billionaire through her many business ventures.
Kardashian wasn't married to rapper Ray J during the infamous tape, as she only divorced her husband Damon Thomas a year later.
She would tie the knot with Kris Humphries in 2011 before filing for divorce 72 days later, though it is her marriage to Kanye West in 2014 that will be best remembered by fans.
The couple share four children and underwent a messy, public divorce in 2022.
Kim Kardashian underwent X-ray to prove she didn't have butt implants
While Kardashian surprised people with her 2018 admission, she hit back at criticism seven years prior, in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
During the episode, the family decided that Kourtney should get an X-ray of her breasts so they could all "see what implants look like" on the scan.
The doctor then took an X-ray of Kim's buttocks and compared her results to Kourtney's scan, as people claimed she had butt implants.
The result came as a relief to her, as she admitted: "I am so glad that I did this X-ray just for the fact that my sisters annoyed me and were picking on me just to get at me and the whole world doubting me."
