When it comes to sharing your parenting experience on social media, you have to be wary. Giving the general public an insight into your private life, particularly when it comes your children, can be a double-edged sword, and you'll find that there are plenty of people who are keen to dish out unsolicited criticism of other people's parenting skills.
Kylie recently shared this video from baby Stormi's birth:It seems as though even celebrities who post about their own little ones on social media aren't immune to this kind of treatment. For example, this week Kylie Jenner has ended up being mom-shamed by a number of trolls, after she uploaded a picture of her daughter Stormi wearing some accessories that some people thought were inappropriate.
The problem began when Kylie shared a picture of her little girl, who was looking stylish with a pair of hoop earrings. However, some social media users seemed to think that they were too large and too heavy for her earlobes, while others criticized Kylie for making her kid wear clothes that are intended for an adult.
For instance, one person wrote: "@kyliejenner lil sis this little baby is cute ... however she's too young for earrings this size ... from a mother to another mother of a black girl... we don't put earrings on our little girls that size and style because we don't want people to talk about them in negative ways ... She's an adorable little girl. Please save the earrings for her till she's 12 or 15 years old. [sic]"
Apparently Kylie Jenner is really enjoying the experience of parenthood, and in 2018 a source close to the star told E! News that: "She feels like being a mom is her true calling and there's nothing that's ever felt so right."
They added: "Bringing the baby home has been the greatest joy and most sacred experience. She is elated and overjoyed. Kylie felt so ready to meet the baby and had been counting down the weeks for what felt like forever. She can't believe she's finally here and in her arms and this journey is beginning."
