Kylie Jenner has revealed a horror story from her pregnancy with son Aire, after being placed on bed rest because he was ‘falling out’ of her vagina.
The superstar was left unable to walk after her ordeal, although everything turned out OK in the end.
Speaking on the podcast Therapuss earlier this week, Jenner discussed the differences and problems she experienced during her two pregnancies.
She explained to host Jake Shane how her pregnancy with her second child Aire left her unable to walk and on bed rest because of complications.
The 28-year-old cosmetics mogul - now in a relationship with Timothée Chalamet - has been suffering with a bad back for some time, but claims it became so much worse during her second pregnancy with Aire, even to the point where she awoke one day unable to walk.
At 12 weeks pregnant, she believed she was in good shape, but - as so many women will be able to attest - at times like this in life, the unexpected is never far away.
"I had crazy sciatica pain and crazy lower back pain," Jenner said.
She had started out with ‘high expectations’ for the pregnancy, feeling in the ‘best shape’ of her life, but things turned quickly.
Jenner also opened up on her weight gain during pregnancy with both Aire, who is now four, and Stormi, eight, both of whom she shares with ex-partner Travis Scott.
Clearly it’s totally normal to gain weight during pregnancy, but Jenner gained 60lbs during her first pregnancy and 65 during her second, admitting that she ‘ate everything’ including a ‘pint of ice cream every night’.
All the while, she was suffering with awful nausea.
While describing her pregnancy with Stormi as a ‘breeze’, she found herself confined to her bed during the second, because of serious back pain and sciatica.
What’s more, there were other issues.
She explained: “Lots of things were happening with my vagina,
"I was three centimeters dilated for like a month and a half, two months, the baby was falling out.”
So, her doctor told her to stay in bed.
On top of all this, her pregnancies carried their own emotional trauma as well, and she admitted to ‘freaking out’ after falling pregnant with Stormi at 19-years-old.
"I was freaking out. I was really scared to tell my parents,” she said.
"I was really scared."
Luckily, ‘no-one was mad’ at her.
However, she continued: "But there was something just inside of me that knew that I wanted to do this, and I had to make a decision for myself,
"And even if I have to do this alone, or however, this is the choice that I'm going to make."
Being a huge celebrity carries its own problems when trying to separate public and private life.
Jenner wanted to keep her pregnancy private from the paparazzi, meaning that she had to isolate herself from the world somewhat.
She said: "I really didn't leave the house. I felt like at the time, you know, reflecting back to it, I felt like I was protecting myself. And I was in a way.”
After announcing the happy news, she ‘sobbed for three hours’ because of the pressure.
"[It was] just a big thing that I was, hiding from the world. And I was worried about everyone's reactions,” she said.
"It was just so emotional. And I'm like, 'Maybe next time I wouldn't do that.’”
Thankfully, she has two healthy children to show for her struggles at the end of it.
