Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s iconic red carpet outfits hilariously recreated at the Critics Choice Awards
Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs brought big style energy to the 2026 Critics Choice Awards on January 4, hosted by Chelsea Handler in Los Angeles.
The Hacks stars made headlines for their bold, all-orange looks on the red carpet. Their outfits immediately sparked comparisons to the orange ensembles recently worn by Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner at the Marty Supreme premiere.
Fans and fashion watchers noticed that Megan and Paul’s coordinated looks included standout details similar to those seen on the A-list couple. Megan’s outfit was paired with a chunky cross necklace just like Kylie’s, while Paul sported a black leather table tennis paddle case across his body, an accessory that mirrored Timothée’s.
Photos from the Critics Choice Awards red carpet show a confident, playful fashion moment that had people talking long after they stepped off the carpet.
Despite the obvious style parallels, Megan was quick to play it cool when asked about her look on the red carpet.
“I don't even know what this is,” she told E! News’ Keltie Knight, gesturing to her outfit. Her co-star Paul offered a bit more context, saying “We borrowed. We're in production on season five right now of Hacks. So we didn't really have a lot of time to fit, to shop.”
How the orange influence keeps rolling with Marty Supreme
The orange theme has been hard to miss for fans following the press tour for Marty Supreme. It has shown up in a variety of creative ways, from bold outfits to unique promotional moments. Timothée Chalamet has been front and center of much of this attention.
“This is in the spirit of Marty,” he told IndieWire. “This is ultimately an original film at a time when original movies aren’t really put out. It’s a movie about the pursuit of a dream. I’m leaving it on the field. Whether it’s the merch or the Zoom or the media appearances, I’m trying to get this out in the biggest way possible.”
Timothée also explained that all the extra elements like the orange Marty blimp, ping-pong ball-headed entourage and limited edition windbreaker were part of what he described as “In the spirit of Marty Mauser.”
Celebrities bring high fashion to the Critics' Choice Awards
The Critics Choice Awards red carpet offered plenty more standout fashion moments. Teyana Taylor chose Saint Laurent and Tiffany Co jewelry. Jessica Biel appeared in Lanvin. Ariana Grande was in custom Alberta Ferretti with Christian Louboutin and Swarovski jewelry. Paul Mescal wore custom Gucci and Cartier. Jacob Elordi showed up in Bottega Veneta, Oliver Peoples and Cartier. Michael B. Jordan stunned in custom Louis Vuitton and Christian Louboutin.
Other memorable red carpet looks included Leighton Meester in Carolina Herrera with Chopard jewelry, Adam Scott and Naomi Scott in Dolce & Gabbana, and Seth Rogen in Zegna. Stars like Mckenna Grace, Krys Marshall and Rhea Seehorn also gave their own fashion statements.
The event was a showcase of high style that matched the excitement of the night.
