Fans were left stunned after seeing Lionel Richie’s "new look" during a recent interview.

The 74-year-old 'Hello' crooner sparked a buzz online after Entertainment Tonight shared an interview of the star talking about the arrival of daughter Sofia Richie Grainge's baby.

In case you missed it, the 25-year-old model revealed this week that she welcomed her baby girl with her husband Elliot Grainge on May 20.

"Eloise Samantha Grainge 5•20•24 best day of my life," Sofia captioned the heartwarming black-and-white photo showing the newborn's little feet.

In the interview with ET, Richie opened up about his excitement over his newborn granddaughter, referring to her as a “diva," and saying: "And you know where we're going because you can't come from Sofia and now have some forms of defiance."

The ‘All Night Long (All Night)‘ singer also added in the full interview: "We're all loving. I'm over the moon, I'm trying to stay calm...I'm just so excited. For them, I know this is going to be an adventure of a lifetime."

Despite the heartfelt content of the 'Say You, Say Me' hitmaker's message, many people were quick to focus on his facial appearance.

One concerned user questioned: "What did he do to his face?" while a second exclaimed: "OMG his face."

A third chimed in: "Did he do something to his face?" and a fourth remarked: "I will admit he does look a little different."

Speculation about possible cosmetic surgery continued as someone commented “He needs to stop with the fillers,” and one more added: “Lionel face is so tight.”

While the father-of-three has not revealed whether he got cosmetic surgery, he did share last year that he wouldn't go down that route, explaining that he wouldn't like not being able to return to his natural appearance.

"[Plastic surgery] locks you in for that year [while you recover] - and after that, you can't go naturally, you're staying right there... You try and go back to reset, and you can't,' he told Daily Mail, adding: "[And] that sh** goes wrong!"

He added that he wants to avoid it because "God might not recognize me, so I want to make sure he knows me".

The 'Stuck on You' musician also disclosed his anti-aging methods include, sleep, water, and a more risque activity: sex, remarking: "I know it's real boring. [Sex] will work also and it's good for your heart."
