An update has been shared after Lionel Richie was rushed into an intensive care unit following a concert in St. Louis.
The 77-year-old Grammy winner was hospitalized after performing at The Muny in Forest Park on Saturday (August 29).
Sources told TMZ that Richie checked himself into a local hospital after the show so doctors could run tests.
The publication has since reported that the 'Hello' singer is being cautious, with doctors investigating possible slight dehydration.
Sources said Richie is hoping to be discharged on Tuesday.
The health scare came shortly after Richie took to the stage as part of his Sing a Song All Night Long tour with Earth, Wind & Fire.
Per TMZ, he asked his team to bring him a chair while performing his final song of the night, 'All Night Long'.
Richie's hospitalization also comes just over two months after another health issue forced him to cut a performance short.
The 'Stuck on You' singer was performing in St. Paul, Minnesota, on June 24, when he became ill during the opening show of his tour.
He told the audience he was feeling dizzy and said he had never previously performed 'Dancing on the Ceiling' while seated, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.
"When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your a** down," Richie joked.
He then sat at a piano to perform 'Three Times a Lady' before taking an impromptu intermission.
Richie ultimately postponed two shows after doctors advised him to "rest and return to full health".
The 'Dancing on the Ceiling' vocalist returned to the stage on June 30 and addressed the health scare with the crowd.
He joked that he "had you worried there for a minute, huh?," TribLive reported.
"You have no idea what I have been through in the last 24 hours, listening to my friends tell me their advice on what I should be doing," Richie said.
Days later, on July 4, Richie reassured fans about his condition in an Instagram post.
"Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love. I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you," he wrote. "Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd… we made real memories together. See you in Toronto... let’s party all night long!" he concluded.
Richie is currently scheduled to return to the stage on September 26 in San Francisco.
