Losing your virginity is one of the biggest moments in your life. Some people hold out for "the one", while for others it is simply with their partner at the time. But, whatever the method you chose to opt for, one thing is for certain: it will be awkward, fumbly, and wholly disappointing.

Whether your first time was enjoyable or cringe-worthy, it's one of the moments in your life that helps shape the adult that you later become. And, despite the fact that they often seem older and more mature than they actually are, celebrities also have to endure the rigmarole that comes with losing your virginity.

Appearing on a podcast with Anna Faris, Macaulay Culkin has opened up about the moment that he lost his v-plates, describing the situation as "sticky."

The 37-year-old (yes, 37) spoke candidly about his first time getting jiggy with it, confessing that it wasn't anywhere near as bad as it could've been.

"Mine was special. It wasn’t gross or weird. It was, yeah, we planned it, It was warm and sticky and I thought like, ‘Geez, This is weird. Am I doing it right?’ And also we listened to The White Album so there you go."

Culkin continued, saying that he wasn't sure if he was "doing it right".

"In a nutshell, like, ‘Am I doing it right? This is really warm and sticky. So many new smells, what’s going on?’ So yes that was me losing my virginity at 15."

When asked about when he would feel comfortable with his kids' popping their cherry, the actor said that he would not want his future offspring losing theirs any earlier than he did.

"I was about 15, so I think that would be the youngest I’d be okay with that."

He then joked, saying that "I’d say about 32. I want them to wait till they’re married."

The conversation moved on to what it is that Culkin looks for in a romantic partner, with the actor gushing about his current spouse.

"I’m with a lady right now and she is so good to me that they feel like blows.

"She just does nice things, and I feel like at first, I didn’t know how to be treated well in that kind of way. It was a strange, almost foreign concept."

It would be safe-to-say that Culkin has had to endure some difficult times over the past few years, but it seems like he has firmly turned his life around. Since October 2017, he has been romantically linked with Brenda Song, a 29-year-old Disney actress. The two have been spotted together on numerous occasions and were even seen in Paris on a festive getaway.

It's great to see that Culkin is back on the straight and narrow, with him not only looking healthy but also happy. Who knows, with the way things are going, maybe we'll see a reboot of the Home Alone franchise but with his hypothetical son playing Kevin's son. We can only dream.
