Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are definitely couple goals, and they proved it once again when they gave the perfect response to unfounded breakup rumours.

Kunis and Kutcher, who have been married since 2015 and have two kids together, took to Instagram to share that they were just as surprised as we were to learn that they were breaking up, and recorded their reactions on Instagram.

It's pretty funny, to say the least:

All Kunis had was a cover image of the story - sent to her by a friend - but it was enough to send this couple into a frenzy.

"It's over between us," she said solemnly into the camera, and Kutcher replied:  "Oh my god, what are we gonna do?" From there, the couple riffed on the kind of phrases the tabloid cover used. "You felt suffocated by me?" Ashton queried. "I was just so overbearing, wasn’t I?"

From there on, it was confirmed that not only had a "huge secret" been revealed about Kutcher ("It must have been really dark," mused Kutcher), but that Kunis was also taking the kids.

Look, folks, despite the constant precariousness of celebrity couplings, it looks as if Mila and Ashton are going to be together for a while. "I have the world’s greatest husband," said Kunis to E! News last year.

"I swear, I got very lucky, man," she revealed, pouring cold water on the notion of any kind of split. "I got a man that has got a lot of patience and is incredibly supportive of our family."

Well, if there are any celebrity couples out there looking for a way to quell tabloid rumours while still maintaining their dignity, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are - once again - couple goals: hilarious, to the point, and clearly able to have fun. Is there anything they can't do? I would say something snarky like "help to stop child trafficking", but... they actually already did that. Damn.
