People have been left divided after Amber Heard revealed her daughter's name.

The 38-year-old actress, best known for starring in DC's Aquaman, has had a tumultuous few years in the public eye.

Back in 2016, Heard divorced her former husband Johnny Depp after one year of marriage and obtained a temporary restraining order against him.

A few years later, the Pirates of the Caribbean star launched a lawsuit against the Rum Diary actress after she opened up about being a victim of domestic violence in a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post.

Despite not naming Depp in her article, the turbulent case concluded with the Fantastic Beasts star being awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, while Heard was granted $2 million in compensatory damages, but no punitive damages.

After her legal battles with Depp, Heard reportedly left her acting career in Hollywood behind and relocated to Spain with her daughter.

The Never Back Down star first shared news of her daughter’s birth on Instagram in 2021, writing: “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way.

"I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this," she continued.

She revealed that her child was born on April 8, 2021, and is named Oonagh Paige Heard. "She’s the beginning of the rest of my life," she concluded.

Instead of congratulating the actress, fans were more concerned by the name she chose for her baby girl and took to social media to voice their thoughts.

"This girl will get bullied not only because her mom is Amber Heard, but because her name is OONAGH," one user criticized.

Another wrote: “Amber heard really named her daughter Oonagh though? Sigh," while a third added: "This name makes me think of someone who wears fur and conquers villages. People, please. Name your children reasonably.”

Defending the actress, one person argued: “Whatever. It’s her choice to name her child what she wants. It’s not the worst I’ve heard. Look at Elon Musk’s kid – X A-something squared…”

Another agreed: “Don’t know, could be worse… she could have named her Seenbutnever!”

The Pineapple Express star briefly spoke about her daughter during an interview with Today's Savannah Guthrie after her highly publicized trial came to an end.

Guthrie asked Heard what she was looking forward to doing most with her daughter, and she said: "I get to be a mom, like, full-time, you know? Where I'm not having to juggle calls with lawyers," as cited by PEOPLE.

The interviewer then followed up with: "One day you may want to tell your daughter about this or have to tell your daughter about everything that you've gone through. What would you want to say?"

"I think no matter what," Heard responded. "It will mean something. I did the right thing. I did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth," she concluded.
