If you hadn't heard the news by now: Mel B and Geri Horner (nee Halliwell), aka Scary Spice and Ginger Spice, totally did it.

The bombshell dropped yesterday, after it came out that  Mel admitted to the hookup during an interview on Piers Morgan's Life Stories.

The topic came up rather candidly, with Piers asking Mel: "Did you or didn't you with Geri Halliwell ... did you sleep with her?"

At first, Mel tried to dance around the topic, saying: "Yeah, we all slept in a bed together but not 'like that' all of us." But, when the GMB host pressed further, asking if she'd hooked up with Geri "like that", she caved.

"She's going to hate me for this because she's all posh in her country house and her husband," Mel admitted. "But it's a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it. It was just that once. And hopefully when Geri gets asked that, which hopefully she will after this, she won't deny it. Because it was just a fun thing."

Despite him pushing on the subject, though, Piers now thinks that Geri is "panicking" about her former bandmate's admission.

"There I was on Friday interviewing Mel B at Elstree studios for my Life Stories," Piers said on Good Morning Britain today. "It doesn’t air for another two months … I just had a little idea something had gone in with her and Geri."

He continued: "Geri is now briefing the 'it’s never happened'. She’s slightly panicking about what Mr. Geri [her husband, Christian Horner] thinks."

It's clear from the interaction between Mel B and Mel C during the interview that something definitely did happen - and Mel B is still feeling a little giggly about it all.

Indeed, Geri also admitted to having slept with a woman in the past - but she didn't name any names.

"I had lesbian sex once," she said in a 2003 interview with Howard Stern. "I realised quickly I was not a lesbian. I don’t mind boobs but the other bit is not my cup of tea."

She continued: "I didn’t like the lesbian thing. It is part of experimenting. I was drunk at the time. I could never ever say who it was. I don’t think she was a lesbian either. I’m going to leave the rest to your imagination."

Meanwhile, some other unearthed clips have appeared on social media - and they have proven to be very telling.

While the rumours may be true, though, some people are angry at Mel for having disclosed such a personal story on TV without Geri's consent.

And, with that in mind, it's no wonder that she's panicking.
