Pink was forced to pause a show in Australia after a concertgoer suddenly went into labor mid-song.
On Friday (February 9) the pop artist - whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore - was performing at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney to kick off her 2024 Summer Carnival tour.
While performing her balled 'Our Song' from her 2023 album Trustfall, the singer noticed a group of fans "waving for help" from the mosh pit.
Footage shared online reveals the singer asking: "Are we good?" before requesting medical assistance. A few moments later, she realized what was happening and exclaimed: "Somebody’s having a baby?! Oh my God!"
Watch the moment below:After noticing that the fan was in labor, the award-winning singer joked: "Is it Alecia or Alex being born? I feel like we shouldn’t be looking. Everyone give her her privacy! She didn’t just have the baby, right? Is the baby here? No, OK."
The 'Just Give Me A Reason' star then congratulated the woman and said: "Wow, 'Our Song' - that was the one that did it. Wouldn’t have called that one! I thought it would’ve been 'Get The Party Started' or 'Never Not Gonna Dance Again.' That’s insane."
"I don’t even know what to say... Good luck! It’s going to be great. You’re going to be great," she added.
Many people flocked to the comment section to share their awe-struck reactions to the moment. One user joked: "Imagine on the kid’s first day of school and the teacher does those icebreakers. Kid: 'I went to a Pink’s concert when I was one day old.'"
Another user applauded: "Now that’s dedication to being a fan!!! Congratulations to the mom. May she have had an easy delivery and pray both baby and mom are doing great. Let’s get pink to go see her. Best gift!!!"
Someone else praised the singer for pausing the show: "Haha poor Pink, she didn't know what to do. She is such an amazing person," and a fourth quipped: "Being congratulated by Pink would be the most memorable event."
Shockingly, this isn't the first time someone gave birth at the 'So What' singer's concert as back in 2019, a woman named Denise Jones went into labor while Pink was performing 'Get the Party Started' in Liverpool.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Jones was taken by crowd doctors to the stadium’s first aid room where medics delivered the baby.
"There was no equipment in the first aid room, just a couple of beds," Dr John Matthews, one of the medics, told the outlet. "This doesn’t happen very often and I’d never delivered a baby in Anfield before. When things go well, it’s always a good feeling."
The concertgoer initially planned to name her newborn Dolly Louise but has since changed it to Dolly Pink, to commemorate the unorthodox birth delivery. "I’m still massively in shock, just a bit gutted I missed the concert," she joked.
The musician herself found out about the ordeal and shared a screenshot of the news on her Instagram, writing: "Dolly Pink wanted to get the party started."
Congratulations to the fan!
