Pregnant Chrissy Teigen undergoes second blood transfusion in hospital

Chrissy Teigen, who is currently expecting her third child with singer-songwriter, John Legend, has reassured fans that she and her unborn baby are "completely fine" while she provided an update from her hospital bed.

The Cravings author was taken to hospital on Sunday (September 27) due to excessive bleeding. Today, she shared an update to Instagram, while preparing to have a second blood transfusion, saying that it "truly truly truly sounds more dramatic than it is."

"Hello from hospital. about to have my second blood transfusion which truly truly truly sounds more dramatic than it is. It’s an IV, but instead of fluids, the blood of some kind human being out there. Baby and I are completely fine, just missing the little things like walking...cooking...playing with the other buttbutts. came across this little gem from ringing in 2020. It all makes sense now! [sic]" the 34-year-old captioned the post.

On Sunday, Chrissy shared a series of videos from her hospital bed. In them, the model told her 31 million Instagram followers that she had got to the point where she was "never stopping bleeding".

In a post made from her bedside, Chrissy stated:

"I was always, always bleeding. The blood has been going on for a little less than a month. More than a period, definitely not spotting. Every time I’d go to the bathroom, it would be blood.

"Even just laying there, it would be blood. Today the big difference was it was like if you’d turn a faucet on too low and leave it. I was at the point today where I was never stopping bleeding, and that’s obviously really bad."

She added:

"My placenta is really weak. I feel really good, the baby is so healthy ... and I can’t wait for him. But he’s the strongest, coolest dude in the sh*ttiest house.

"His house is falling apart. He didn’t have the strongest chance at the very beginning. So all we’re doing now is trying to make sure he’s got a lot of fluid around him, and I’m resting as much as possible."

Chrissy first confirmed that she was pregnant with her third child in August, posting the news to her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

This followed some intense speculation from fans, after she appeared in the music video for Legend's new single 'Wild', and was spotted cradling her stomach lovingly.
