Rebel Wilson smashes her recent workout, as personal trainer praises her weight loss

January is the time of year where many people decided to get healthy again after days of indulgence over the Christmas period.

Whether you're attempting Dry January, of Veganuary, or just renewing your gym membership again, this month is often the time when people try their best to slim down and ditch the bad habits that are making them sluggish and unfit.

It can be hard to stay motivated and keep at it, so you might need a bit of motivation. If you're looking for someone to aspire to then you could do a lot worse than Australian actress and comedian Rebel Wilson, who has really been clocking up the hours at the gym lately.

Take a look at the footage of Rebel's gym session in the video below:

In fact, she's been working so hard that her personal trainer shared a video of one of her intense workouts this week, and also praised Rebel's diligence and commitment to her new fitness program.

Sharing footage of Rebel exercising using two heavy ropes, Sydney-based PT Jono Castano captioned the short video: "Friday vibes but @rebelwilson has been putting in the yards 7 days a week! Proud of you gurl. [sic]"

In a recent Instagram post, Rebel shared a picture of herself jogging at the beach, and captioned it: "Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called 'The Year of Health.'"

Check out Wilson flaunting her weight-loss in a recent video:

She added: "So I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?"

However, in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rebel revealed that some of the pounds she recently-shed could actually be attributed to the extreme heat she endured on the set of Cats, saying:

"I lost eight pounds (3.6kg) shooting my number in four days," Wilson, who plays Jennyanydots, in the Tom Hooper directed film, continued before disclosing that temperatures reached nearly 100 Fahrenheit (37.7 Celsius) on set. "One, because there’s a lot of physicality … but also, they heated up the set very high, to almost 100 Fahrenheit (37.7 Celsius), so that we could never cool down."

Keep up the great work, Rebel!
