Russell Brand warned of 'danger' he faces in jail as new information emerges
Details of Russell Brand's first days behind bars have been revealed, as he has been issued a warning.
Russell Brand has been found guilty of rape and sexual assault offenses against four women between 2004 and 2009, and is facing a lengthy prison sentence.
The British actor appeared at London's Southwark Crown Court on November 5 after two days of deliberations, as a jury delivered a verdict on all counts.
Brand, 51, was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
He was found not guilty on two other counts of rape and one of attempted indecent assault, as a judge told the Get Him to the Greek star to expect a 'significant custodial term'.
It was later reported by the Metropolitan Police that Brand is being investigated over further rape allegations made by two women.
Russell Brand given warning after details of first days
It's been reported that the Brit has been 'shaken and quiet' in his first days behind bars, as sources say that he is 'in real danger'.
The prison where Brand will serve his sentence has not been confirmed, with the UK Prison Service yet to make a decision, as he is currently being held at Wandsworth.
Sources say that he was 'petrified' of spending his first night in custody, and is currently being 'watched around the clock'.
Brand reportedly hasn't been allowed to mix with the wider prison population due to safety fears.
Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed: "Brand’s first day in jail was a real shock to his system and a wake-up call. He looked shaken and was quiet.
"A horrible, noisy, and dirty jail like Wandsworth is a world away from his glamorous Hollywood lifestyle.
"Brand has been put in a cell and is being kept away from other inmates because he is in real danger due to his offenses, his wealth, and who he is.
"Some of the officers and inmates will be excited to have a celebrity in there. But a lot of the cons would want to do him some damage, so he will not be allowed to mix in Wandsworth, and it will be safer for him.
"They will want to ship him out as soon as possible. He will find prison food pretty awful and have to supplement it by buying stuff," they concluded.
Russell Brand's response to rape allegations
Police footage from July 2025 has resurfaced, showing the actor appearing emotionless as police read out a woman's detailed account of being sexually assaulted.
As per Page Six, a Metropolitan Police investigator described how the woman alleged that Brand had removed his condom before raping her at his home.
"The condom that he had been wearing had been removed at some point before the anal rape and was now on the floor," the investigator said. "Mr. Brand then told her to clean up the mess on the bed and he left the room."
According to the woman's account, another man then entered the room and told her she needed to leave because Brand had another show to perform that evening.
She alleged that she was driven to Hampstead tube station by the same driver who had brought her to Brand’s home.
After reading the allegations, the investigator asked Brand: "What is your response to this allegation?"
He simply replied: "I have nothing further to add at this time."
