According to Taylor, the confrontation began after she was pushed while trying to move through the packed backstage area following the ceremony.
“He literally shoved me,” she says in the clip, while referencing another woman nearby. “He was damn near shoving her.”
The moment ends with the actress making it clear why she was upset as those around her try to calm the situation. “Do not touch me. Do not shove me. Do not push me,” she tells.
Reports suggest the incident occurred as people were attempting to move through restricted areas backstage shortly after Taylor’s film, One Battle After Another, was announced as the night’s Best Picture winner.
