It's hard not to Keep Up with the Kardashians. Our news feeds are inundated with intel about their latest meanderings, and between mass media and the television, it's apparent that their empire is more far-reaching than we initially thought. However, there's one particular Kardashian-Jenner that has dominated the headlines of late, and it is of course, Kylie Jenner.

The 20-year-old's recent pregnancy had to be one of the worst kept secrets of this century, but that didn't quash the intense speculation surrounding it. As we know, Stormi Webster was born on the 1st of February, and the heiress, who is set to be a millionaire before her first birthday, apparently emerged from the womb with perfectly manicured fingernails to boot.

But despite having her arms full with a newborn, Kylie Jenner has been blamed for the "death of Snapchat". The beauty mogul reportedly wiped $1 billion off the value of Snapchat earlier this month, thanks to comments she made about the app on Twitter. Her fans were naturally suspicious, then, when Kylie returned to Snapchat to post the first ever full-face picture of her daughter, Stormi.

Despite openly slating Snapchat earlier this month, Kylie Jenner took to the platform on Saturday to share the first ever full-face picture of her and Travis Scott's newborn daughter. The video shows the one-month-old sucking on a pacifier, and it's captioned "My sweet pretty girl".

This video comes just two weeks after Kylie tweeted about Snapchat, implying that she no longer uses the app. In one post she wrote, "Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad," and in another she added, "Mm just saw the new Snapchat.. I don’t know how i feel about it! What do you guys think?"

Fans were left wondering what caused the reality television star's change of heart, and some even went so far as to claim that Snapchat had paid Kylie to post the video.

American blogger and gossip columnist, Perez Hilton, took to Twitter to write, "Sources tell me Snapchat PAID Kylie Jenner to post this first clear photo of her daughter's face on their app! Smart of both of them!"

However, a spokesperson from Snapchat has now denied that Kylie was paid to post on the app.

While such comments would normally amount to nothing, it's evident that the Kardashian-Jenner family wield massive influence in the sphere of social media. Certainly, according to The Mirror, Kylie's disavowal resulted in shares of Snapchat's parent company sinking an eye-watering 6.1 per cent, meaning that $1.3 billion in market value was immediately lost.

But only time will tell if Kylie Jenner's newfound allegiance to the app will be able to save it...
