Sydney Sweeney has taken part in a few risque scenes in her time, and unfortunately for her, her dad unknowingly saw one.
The 27-year-old is one of the biggest stars on the planet right now, with her breakthrough role coming as Cassie Howard in HBO's gritty teen drama Euphoria.
If you've seen the show, you know that it doesn't stray away from things such as drugs use, dating violence, and nudity.
During the show, Sweeney’s character navigates storylines involving abortion, infidelity, and hypersexualization.
In a past interview with NBC’s Sunday Today, Sweeney revealed that her mother was aware of the explicit nature of her role, having visited the set several times.
However, her father was in for a surprise when he decided to watch the series with her grandparents—without any warning from Sweeney.
"My mum visited me on set quite a few times, so she knew the story," Sweeney said. She added with a laugh, "I didn't prepare my dad at all."
The situation became even more awkward when her dad hosted a family viewing party, only for him and Sweeney's grandfather to be so shocked by the content that they left the room.
"My dad and my grandpa turned it off and walked out," she admitted.
While her father and grandfather were taken aback, not everyone in the family was upset. Sweeney shared that her grandmother, on the other hand, had a much different reaction.
"My grandma... she's a fan. She's a big supporter," she said, adding: "I bring her all over the world to my different sets and I make her an extra."
Sweeney clearly has a supportive family around her, as in late 2023 she revealed her mom talked her out of breast reduction surgery.

The actress, who has since embraced her body, opened up about her past insecurities in an interview with Fox News, explaining how uncomfortable she once felt about the size of her chest.
Sweeney admitted she had planned to get a breast reduction when she turned 18. However, her mother convinced her otherwise, warning that she would likely "regret it in college."
"And I’m so glad I didn’t. I like them. They’re my best friends," Sweeney told Glamour in an interview. "Everybody’s body is beautiful. When you are confident and you’re happy within is when it really shows to other people."
Reflecting on her journey to self-acceptance, Sweeney added: "I went through that process of covering my body up at such a young age, but once I became more confident with myself, [it changed]. I want to show girls that it’s amazing and beautiful and empowering to have the bodies that we have."
Sweeney shared that her mental shift has had a profound impact on how she carries herself physically as well.
Once known for wearing oversized hoodies to conceal her figure, the actress now embraces her body with confidence and wears whatever she wants.
