At the Academy Awards, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper stole the show with a steamy performance of their Oscar-winning song Shallow from A Star Is Born. As the pair nuzzled up next to each other behind the piano, the memes flooded in on Twitter. Many people wondered how Cooper's girlfriend, supermodel Irina Shayk, felt about the intimate duet, since she was sitting front row center. Well, have no fear, Cooper-Shayk shippers - she was the first one to congratulate the couple with a standing ovation.

Following the broadcast, Lady Gaga's ex-fiancé, Taylor Kinney, appeared to throw shade at her on Instagram. The couple broke up in 2016, just after she booked the role in A Star In Born. "Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break," she captioned a photo on Instagram. "We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."

In the Netflix documentary, Lady Gaga: Five Foot Two, the singer confirmed the breakup. "When I sold 10 million records, I lost Matt. I sold 30 million, I lose Luke. I get the movie, I lose Taylor," said an emotional Gaga.

Naturally, Kinney's followers were curious how he felt about Lady Gaga's Oscar win. Kinney didn't reply to their questions, but he did 'like' a shady comment from someone else. It read, "Stoked you got away from Gaga #Hollyweird."

Gaga's little monsters savagely condemned Kinney for the apparent shade. One Instagram user wrote, "@luvmynyyankees Shame on you!!! This is cyber bullying and I am reporting you! And @taylorkinney111 you know better than to waste a moment 'liking' something that puts down another person! You have a platform to spread kindness but you choose to egg on a bully. Completely tasteless and classless of you. I have lost respect."

Meanwhile, one Twitter user wrote, "Taylor Kinney left her when she decided to do A Star Is Born, now he’s a bitter bitch. To quote what Gaga herself once said - at least your career won’t turn around and tell you it doesn’t love you anymore. Another addition to the “men ain’t shit” biography."

Well, calm down, little monsters! Taylor Kinney responded to the controversy, commenting, "Sorry for 'like.' It was an accident. I'm only proud and happy for Stef.' (Lady Gaga's real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.) Hey, we've all been there, accidentally liking a comment, post or video before, right? (Of course, conspiracy theorists might say Kinney really did mean to throw shade, and now he's just backtracking.)

It appears the exes get along, though. Last October,E! News caught up with Kinney just before A Star Is Born was released. The actor admitted he hadn't seen the film, but said, "I can only wish her the best. I'm really proud."
