Taylor Lautner and Tay Lautner have welcomed their first baby and have also revealed their newborn's surprising name.
The couple, who tied the knot in November 2022, announced the joyous news on Instagram on Wednesday (September 23).
"One week loving our sweet little Lenny. Lennon Taylor Lautner 9.16.2026," they wrote in the caption, alongside a sweet photo of their daughter in a pink onesie, lying next to a needlepoint that revealed her name.
"Lennon Taylor" was stitched underneath a picture of a teddy bear holding a pink balloon.
The middle name is particularly fitting for the family as both of Lennon's parents share the name Taylor.
The Twilight star and his wife, who is a registered nurse, revealed that they were expanding their family in March.
"What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?", the 34-year-old actor captioned a photo of himself kissing his wife's baby bump.
The following month, the couple shared a video of the moment they found out they would be having a daughter.
In an interview on Call Her Daddy, Tay told host Alex Cooper that she "didn’t really care" about the baby’s gender, while her husband "really want[ed]" a baby girl.
"He’s, like, girl dad," the 29-year-old said during the August podcast episode. "He wants all girls."
Elsewhere in the podcast, Tay confessed that Taylor was on their list of baby names, sharing: "It may be in the mix. We will find out when the baby comes."
This would've meant all three members of the immediate family would have the exact same first name - a scenario the then-pregnant mother found hilarious.
"I feel like if I don’t name my baby Taylor, the Internet’s literally gonna cancel me. I’m gonna get canceled. But I’m like, 'Guys, are you really gonna want that name?'" she said.
"We used to always joke that if we’re having a boy, we’d name him Taylor and call him T.J.," she continued.
In the end, the couple went with Lennon as their daughter's first name and Taylor as her middle name.
The couple first met through Makena Moore, the sister of the Valentine’s Day actor, who hosted a game night to help spark their meet-cute.
"She called me and said, 'Dude, I found your future wife. You need to meet this girl,'" Taylor previously told People in January 2022. "And the rest is history."
At the time, the actor had been taking a break from acting, which gave him the chance to get to know his future wife.
"I wanted to take a step back and enjoy life and spend some time with my family and friends," the Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl alum continued. "And I met my [then] fiancée out of it, so it all worked out."
Indeed, it worked out well for the pair, as Tay reflected on their relationship in her anniversary post in January 2023: "He supports me to be free and live out my wildest dreams while loving me so so well. Beyond thankful for you."
