Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has responded to a recent study that named Prince William the "sexiest bald man in the world".

Former world champion boxer Mike Tyson came in second with 8.8 million mentions, and action star Jason Statham came in third with 7.4 million.

In fact, here's the definitive top 10 list:
  • Prince William - 17.6m
  • Mike Tyson - 8.8m
  • Jason Statham - 7.4m
  • Pitbull - 5.4m
  • Michael Jordan - 5.3m
  • Floyd Mayweather - 4.3m
  • John Travolta - 3.8m
  • Bruce Willis - 3.3m
  • Dwayne Johnson - 2.6m
  • Vin Diesel - 2.3m

As you can see, much to many people's surprise, former WWE Champion and Hollywood hunk Dwayne Johnson only came in ninth, with a mere 2.6 million mentions.

Related - As well as being sexy, The Rock is also a kind-hearted soul. This is the moment he surprised an old friend with a brand new car:

To put this into context, Russian President Vladimir Putin just missed out on the top 10 with 2.2 million mentions.

And as you can probably imagine, this did not sit well with the Baywatch star, who swiftly took to social media to jokingly voice his displeasure at the study's findings.

Writing to his 15.1 million followers, Johnson shared an article about the study, along with the caption: "How in the cinnamon toast f*ck does this happen - when Larry David clearly has a pulse?!?!"

He capped his response off with the hashtag: "#demandingrecount".

And it's clear Johnson's fans agreed with him, as the post has not only been liked more than 81,000 times and retweeted over 8,200 times, but The Great One's followers also flooded him with the messages of support and adoration:

You can understand The Rock's irking over the issue considering he was named People's 'Sexiest Man Alive' back in 2016.

And when asked by People why his fans find him so darn sexy, Johnson replied: "Ah, a sense of humor.

"And I think probably just not trying to be sexy and just being cool and confident in your movies. I think with a lot of my fans, I’ve gotten to a very, very cool place where there’s a direct line between the man they know off-screen and the man they see on-screen."

Check out the time VT sat down with Dwayne Johnson in Hawaii:

Commenting on the study, a spokesperson for Longevita said: "There are quite a few bald public figures we can feast our eyes on."
