Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has responded to a new poll showing mass support for him running for President of the United States. In a post made on his official <a href="https://www.instagram.com/therock/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a> account, the 48-year-old former WWE wrestler and actor shared an image of a recent poll from <a href="https://piplsay.com/hollywood-celebs-as-politicians-what-do-americans-think-of-it/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Piplsay</a>, which found that 48% of Americans surveyed supported his making a bid for the Oval Office sometime in the future. [[instagramwidget||http://instagram.com/p/CNfQ2C9ldlv]] In a caption addressed to his 228 million followers on the platform, the Jumanji star wrote: <blockquote>"Humbling [...] I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack-wearing guy joining their club. "But if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people. [sic]"</blockquote> Additionally, over the weekend, the Hobbs & Shaw star spoke with Willie Geist on Sunday Today about the division in the US. When Geist questioned Johnson about whether or not politics is something he's be interested in pursuing, the former champion replied: "So, I do have that goal to unite our country and I also feel that if this is what the people want, then I will do that. "I am passionate that our country is united. He first addressed the fan buzz around him potentially running for office in a 2017 interview with <a href="https://www.gq.com/story/dwayne-johnson-for-president-cover" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GQ</a>, stating: <blockquote>"A year ago [2016] it started coming up more and more.
