Apparently, the Top Gun star believed that she was in 'distress' and wanted to check on her, which she didn't anticipate.
The user, who has now taken the original video down, admitted that she was in 'complete shock' when she realized what was going on.
Cruise likely wouldn't have known a security camera was there to capture the unexpected exchange, meaning he was genuinely concerned.
The viral TikTok displayed the following text: "When you're doomscrolling at work and Tom Cruise decides it's your day."
What happened in the video?
The TikToker explained in the caption of the video: "He literally tapped me on my shoulder, and I don’t remember what he said, I was in complete shock.
"He smiled and all I could say was 'Tom Cruise?' He said goodnight and walked away. When he came back, I had time to process and I finally asked for a picture."
Cruise could be seen walking past the woman's workstation with his team before checking and walking up to her, seemingly concerned for her well-being.
She posted the video to the Classic 1986 tune 'Take My Breath Away' by Berlin, which gained popularity after being used as part of Top Gun's soundtrack.
The Hollywood actor could be seen speaking to her briefly as she realized who was next to her, freezing before standing up slowly as he gave her a fist bump.
Despite the original video being removed from social media, many have reposted the moment and shared the surprisingly wholesome moment with fans.
