Travis Kelce's mom has sat down for a chat about what it's like spending so much time with Taylor Swift, saying that she feels like she's in an "alternate universe".
You've probably heard all about the Taylor and Travis rumors, but in case you've somehow dodged it let me really quickly bring you up to speed.
The speculation started after Travis reached out to Taylor at an Eras Tour show and the pair started hanging out, including the singer attending NFL games.
To further fuel the rumors, the pair were spotted leaving the Kansas City Chiefs locker room together and Taylor has been very friendly with Travis's mom...
So speaking about Donna Kelce, who is living every Swiftie's dream by being pals with Taylor, she recently opened up on the Got It From My Momma podcast about her experiences.
To begin the conversation, Donna said what most people are thinking: "The NFL is laughing all the way to the bank. Good for them. They’re getting the ramifications of everything."
According to the New York Post, viewership of the games that Taylor attends spiked dramatically, and Travis has seen a 400% increase in jersey sales since the rumored romance began.
Donna said: "I can tell you this, that they’ve told me personally that the Kelce family has done more good PR for football than they could’ve paid a million dollars to a PR firm."
The reasons? Donna said: "It’s just because we’re relatable. We’re just normal. We’re genuine. We’re authentic, and we don’t put any airs on or try to be someone that we’re not."
Despite the backlash from NFL fans, Travis' mom believes that Swifties tuning into the game probably "know more about football than half the people that watch football right now."
"I had one dad who (direct messaged) me and he said, 'I can finally – finally my daughter is watching football with me'," she said.
But what's it like to hang out with Taylor?
Describing it as a "whirlwind," Donna went on: "I feel like I’m in an alternate universe, because it’s something I’ve never been involved with before.
"I thought it would be over at that point, but it seems to just continue, and every week just seems to trump the week before. So it’s really kind of wild, a wild ride."
But what does Travis think of the attention that Taylor and himself are getting?
The NFL star has spoken out on his podcast with his brother Jason Kelce about the coverage.
"I think it's fun when they show who all is at the game," Travis said. "I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you're watching."
Travis went on: "But at the same time, I think they're overdoing it a little bit for sure. Especially my situation."
"They are not there to get thrown on the TV," he said. "You never know you get caught throwing down a big old cheeseburger and you look like an idiot. There are certain things you just don’t want to be on TV at all times."
