Footage of the moment Olivia Wilde was served custody papers on stage at CinemaCon has surfaced online - and people are commending her for how she handled the situation.
The Don't Worry Darling director had been presenting the first trailer of her forthcoming movie at CinemaCon last week when a process server acting on behalf of her ex-partner Jason Sudeikis handed her an envelope marked, "Personal and Confidential."
The contents turned out to be legal documents regarding the custody of the two children she shares with the Ted Lasso star.
When the story first broke, images of the moment Wilde opened the envelope on stage began circulating online.
Now, footage of the unexpected serving has emerged:"This is for me? Right now?" Wilde asked when handed the manila envelope by a female legal representative.
Meanwhile, some members of the audience giggled at the interruption.
"This is very mysterious. I'm going to open it now... is this a script?" she asked.
She then opened the envelope, pulled out the papers and gave them a quick scan. Realizing that she had been served custody papers, the 38-year-old actress then briefly acknowledged receipt of the documents before carrying on on with her presentation.
"Oh, okay. Got it. Thank you," she said.
Wilde has widely been praised online for continuing her presentation without being thrown off by the unexpected legal serving.
One fan wrote: "The way our Queen handled the whole situation made me so happy... She's a role model for so many women like me. I love Olivia Wilde & nobody can drag her down!!"
Another said: "Olivia Wilde deserves an Oscar alone for how she handled getting served custody papers."
A third commented: "I know a lot has been said about Olivia Wilde being served custody papers while promoting her new film but i just want to say she handled it like a pro. I would’ve fallen to my knees and sobbed uncontrollably while harry styles fans plotted my downfall."
A final fan penned: "Say what you want about Olivia Wilde, she handled this situation with total class and I commend her for it."
A source close to Jason Sudeikis previously told DailyMail.com that the actor "had no idea" his former partner would be served custody papers on stage.
The pair share two children, Otis, eight, and Daisy, five. They split in November 2020 following a nine-year relationship.
