Talk show host Wendy Williams has made an incredibly thoughtful display of generosity this week, paying a total of $10,000 to a stripper who went viral after she was filmed falling from a 15-foot-high pole and fracturing her jaw while dancing.

Per Complex, Genea Sky, a dancer at XTC Gentlemen’s Club in Dallas, inadvertently went viral recently, after she plummeted two stories from her pole during a dance routine.

Take a look at the viral video of the fall below:

Despite being in a large amount of pain, she continued dancing rather than seek immediate medical attention and then had to deal with additional attention when the footage of the incident leaked to social media.

She later uploaded a picture of herself in the hospital to her Instagram account and captioned the post: "Everyone’s love & kind words have not gone unnoticed whatsoever and it means so much to me that all of you have blessed me and uplifted me in so many ways. [sic]"

She continued: "I am overwhelmed in the best way by all the support. I was really nervous as this all started blowing up because people are cruel and this is a very sensitive time for me. [sic]"

She added: "But I never imagined so many people would stand behind me in a situation like this and that has outweighed all the negativity by far. I am beyond grateful for you all. I am in a tremendous amount of pain but i am ready for this road to recovery so I can get back to my life. [sic]"

Watch the moment Wendy gave Genea the gift below:

Genea was later invited to Wendy Williams' eponymous talk show to chat about the video. She revealed that the accident has discouraged her from stripping and that she only ever stripped to pay for her college beautician course.

Although the club allegedly offered to pay some of her bills, they didn't specify exactly how much they were willing to provide. Touched by her ambition, Williams and her show then gifted Genea a $10k scholarship to help her pursue her education without the risk of further injury.

Genea later uploaded a picture of herself with the cheque from Wendy, which she captioned: "THANK YOU SO MUCH @wendyshow for inviting me onto to your show and allowing me to share a part of me with your audience and many other people all around the world! [sic]"

She added: "Thank you SO MUCH for my scholarship!!! I can’t even put my thoughts and emotions into words. Being a guest on your show was such a delightful and fun experience! I will never forget it GOD IS SO AMAZING Can’t wait to share more with you guys! Stay tuned [sic]".
