Last week, Anheuser-Busch - the parent company of the Bud Light beer brand - appeared to apologize for the sponsored advertisement deal with Mulvaney.

Brendan Whitworth, the CEO of the company, issued a statement over the weekend following days of conservative backlash.

He said that he "never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people."

The statement in full reads: "As the CEO of a company founded in America's heartland more than 165 years ago, I am responsible for ensuring every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew.

During Monday's episode of The View, Goldberg slammed Anheuser-Busch for appearing to backtrack on the campaign simply because of the criticism it attracted from conservatives.

Check out what Goldberg had to say:

Goldberg said: "The company puts out a statement saying they didn’t mean to address an issue that divided people, but I want to know what are you so angry about? Beer does not have, I mean it’s not Democrat or Republican, it doesn’t have belief system, it’s just beer!"

The consensus during the episode was that Anheuser-Busch' most recent commercial for Budweiser featuring the Clydesdale horse galloping across the heartland was a way of apologizing to the right-wing section of its customer base.

Co-host Sunny Hostin said the company's response to the backlash was, "let's get the horses out" because "horses are so much more American than trans people."

"Listen, Budweiser, we are all Americans here, we appreciate your beer whether it’s light or regular beer, you have every right and we have every right to buy it if we like it. Don’t let them scare you. Let us scare you," Goldberg concluded the segment.
