The Toy Story movies hold a dear place in the hearts of millions all over the globe.
Woody, Buzz and the rest quickly became firm family favourites upon the initial film's release, and fans everywhere delighted in watching their various mishaps and adventures across the span of three movies, which also, poignantly, explored the theme of growing up with sometimes devastating effect.
Toy Story 3 is quite possibly the most moving animated film ever made (don't @ me, Up fans), and the reason for this is the bond between the anthropomorphised toys and their owner, Andy, who is about to go to college and leave them all behind in the process.
However, if there's one Toy Story character sure to strike fear into even the flintiest of hearts, it's the classic bully next door, Sid.
Sid was an absolute menace to toys, with his - let's face it, from a psychological standpoint downright alarming - experiments, which seemed mainly to comprise of chopping bits off toys and glueing them onto another to create some kind of terrifying Frankestein's monster of a plaything.
If you'll allow me to divert your mind away from those harrowing memories, you might already be aware that Will Poulter - he of We are the Millers and The Maze Runner fame, has been compared to Sid in terms of his looks before.
While some might take this as something of an affront due to Sid's sadistic toy misdemeanours, last year Will Poulter brilliantly steered into the comparisons, by dressing up as Sid for Halloween. What's more, there was a very good cause behind it all, as he took to Twitter to explain;
"This Halloween I thought I should respond to the comparisons with Disney Pixar’s biggest bully next door and go as Sid from Toy Story.
"In addition to having a laugh at my expense I wanted to try and raise some attention for a cause I am an ambassador for @antibullyingpro.
"As this month is Bullying Prevention Month in the USA and anti-bullying week in the UK is just around the corner, I would really appreciate it if you could please give them a follow before you like or share and help support the cause to make school a safer and happier place for young people."
Unsurprisingly, fans of Poulter were absolutely blown away by the get up. One wrote, "i absolutely adore u. not only did u do what ur fans wanted but u also support an amazing project. you’re truly so kind-hearted will [sic]", while another added, "This is the best costume And raising awareness for a good cause too!"
It's great to see a bonafide star happy to send themselves up in such brilliant fashion, especially when there's such a good cause behind it all as well. Hats off to you, Will!
