Woman once dubbed the 'most beautiful girl in the world' shared sad update on life as an adult
A woman who was once described as the most beautiful girl in the world revealed her painful condition after releasing private photos depicting her ordeal.
Thylane Blondeau is a French model who has worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry since she was scouted as a tot.
The celeb has since been in the spotlight for two decades, working with Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Hugo Boss, and much more.
She first got her start after being scouted by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, and soon, she made her first catwalk appearance at age four before being pictured on the front of Vogue Enfants in 2006.
Now, the 25-year-old is married, having tied the knot with husband Ben Attal in Paris, three months after their engagement this year.
Blondeau, the daughter of former Premier League and Ligue 1 soccer star Patrick Blondeau, revealed to her social media followers in 2021 that she had undergone emergency surgery to remove an ovarian cyst.
According to the Mayo Clinic, ovarian cysts ‘are sacs, usually filled with fluid, in an ovary or on its surface’.
While ‘most cysts go away without treatment within a few months’, some ‘can become twisted or burst open (rupture)’, which can be incredibly painful for the person.
According to the model, she was told ‘the same thing’ by doctors when she was still in pain months after her first surgery.
She wrote they advised: “don't worry U have nothing it's all in your head.”
Eventually, it was discovered a cyst was ‘touching’ her ovary, and she underwent surgery that same day, and now is ‘finally’ feeling ‘better’.
“Today I'm finally feeling better I'm finally feeling free I really thought I was crazy for complaining ... for so long," Blondeau wrote at the time. "From this experience I've learned that when you're body hurts, don't let it slide and take care of it."
She posted photos from her hospital bed as she explained the situation.
"At the beginning everyone ( and I ofc ) thought it was because of the operation,” she said of her pain. "This year I saw three different gynecologists, I’ve seen more than 4 radiology centers in Paris and all of them said the same thing, ‘don’t worry U have nothing it’s all in your head'.”
In the end, she urged her fans to push ahead if in doubt about chronic pain, even if doctors dismiss you.
“From this experience I’ve learned that when your body hurts, don’t let it slide and take care of it, you must see different doctors until some of them find the problem and heal it,” she wrote.
“Any pain even the little ones can hide something way more important,” Thylane added.
