After a vote by the US House of Representatives, President Donald Trump has officially been impeached - making him third president in the history of the United States to be impeached by Congress. A 10-hour-long debate determined that the POTUS had violated his oath in pressuring Ukraine to damage a political opponent.

Although it is likely that Trump will be acquitted, (since a two-thirds majority vote in congress is required for him to be convicted and removed from office) the news has been welcomed by liberals around the country.

For instance, this week, actress Zoë Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, posted a candid topless photo to Instagram to celebrate Trump's impeachment.

Kravitz posted a pic of herself topless, taking a bite of peach, and captioned the picture: "Eat that, 45" - a clear jab at Trump, the 45th President of the United States. The picture currently boasts over 3,000 comments and thousands more likes.

Recently, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel celebrated Donald Trumps '10,000 lies told while in office':

However, other Republicans are backing up the president, making it clear that he won't go down without a fight. For instance, ABC reports that Republican member of the United States House of Representatives Debbie Lesko told the House floor: "I believe this is the most unfair, politically biased rigged process that I have seen in my entire life."

She added: "This is the most partisan impeachment in the history of the United States. Not one Republican voted for it in the Judiciary Committee ... not one Republican, I don't think, is going to vote for it here today."

If Trump is found guilty, he will have compromised national security, threatened the integrity of the upcoming election, and concealed evidence from Congress and the American people - all violations of the oath of office Trump took during his inauguration.
