Fans of Chris Pine definitely have something more to swoon over, after the actor recently cut his shoulder-length locks in favor of a shorter hairstyle. And fans are digging his natural gray hair!
The 42-year-old bachelor is hot off the promotional trail for Olivia Wilde's drama-fuelled Don't Worry Darling movie, which hit theaters last month. Now, while filming his own directorial debut Poolman, Pine clearly decided it was time to shake up his look - ditching his dark mousy blonde tresses for what looked like a smart 10mm back and sides.
Pine revealed his new 'do at the 2022 Children's Hospital Los Angeles Gala over the weekend, an event of which he was the cohost - the doting son even brought his father, Robert, as his date.
The father and son opened up to People about their collaboration for the event, with 81-year-old Robert stating: "I mean it's a pleasure and you know, fortunately, we have a wonderful family and we've gotten along well together. You know, usually when kids grow up, they don't want to see their parents anymore, really."
Pine then quipped: "We just figure out how we stage when we're there. And they're paying me well, quite honestly."
Previously, Pine told Entertainment Tonight that his beard and long hair were simply the result of "laziness," stating: "I guess it's like, equal parts laziness and equal parts something I may do in the future here. If there's any excuse not to shave and have makeup put on, I, you know…"
After seeing his fresher look, fans on Facebook couldn't resist giving their stamp of approval to the heartthrob.
"He looks better with gray hair," one person wrote.
Another added: "Looks nice it actually makes his eyes look more blue. Gray hair is nice, more should embrace it."
A third user commented: "Wow he's very silver fox now."
"I think he looks way more handsome clean cut with the gray! I don't like long hair at all," someone else chimed in.
Though, not everyone was loving the cropped hairdo, as one user pointed out on Twitter: "Not me going through the 5 Stages of Grief over Chris Pine's haircut."
"RIP Chris Pine’s long hair. (He's in his Pierce Brosnan silver fox era)," someone else wrote.
