Dane Cook has opened up about the age gap in his relationship.

The 50-year-old comedian made headlines back in July when he proposed to his 23-year-old fiancée Kelsi Taylor.

At the time, many people voiced their thoughts on the couple's 27-year age gap on social media.

However, in a recent interview with E! News, Cook made it clear that both he and Taylor are comfortable enough in the relationship to take a joke.

He even claimed that he had a few jokes of his own about their difference in age that he's planning on wheeling out at his new comedy show 'Dane Cook: Above It All'.

Talking to the outlet, the Good Luck Chuck star explained how he showed his soon-to-be wife all of his material before trying it out in a larger audience.

"She saw everything that I was working on for the show," he said.

"She was like, 'Keep that in. I think that part will be great'," he continued, adding: "There's even some fun at our own expense."

As for what part of their relationship, Cook explained that he wasn't afraid to joke about the elephant in the room.

"We have a bit of an age difference, so it's in the show, it's in the show," he said, adding: "If we can't laugh at it, then nobody else is allowed."

Cook went on to talk about how being with Taylor has changed his comedy. "I was just trying some material out on her the other day where I was like, ‘Hey, I think I have maybe my first what it's like to be married joke,'" he said.

The comedian continued: "I think it'll change it in the way that I would always hope growing up with a generation of comedy fans. I was a college kid talking to you know, college-age students. And to grow up with a generation of comedy fans. Their kids are now coming to my show. I'm family oriented and to be looking at that with Kelsey and our future and family. It's like, all feels like the right timing."
