Cast your mind back to a simpler time. A time when all we could talk about was Baby Yoda. Those really were the days.

Now, we can sort of relive them (well, as much as any distraction is possible during a global pandemic) because Disney has just released the trailer for the new The Mandalorian docuseries.

Watch the trailer for the fascinating-looking docuseries below:

It's an eight-episode series that's set to drop on Disney+ next month, and it will take a behind-the-scenes look at the Star Wars show that brought us Baby Yoda.

The show is titled Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian and is billed as "an unprecedented look at the making of the series...", each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by [executive producer] Jon Favreau.

"Topics this season include the filmmaking process, the legacy of George Lucas' Star Wars, how the cast brought the characters to life, the series' groundbreaking technology, the artistry behind the show's practical models, effects, and creatures, plus the creative influences, the iconic score, and connections to Star Wars characters and props from across the galaxy."

While there is no official mention of the second season of The Mandalorian in this synopsis, it seems likely that there will be something, even if it's just a hint, about what's to come in the series.

Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is dropping not just on any day, but on May 4th, which, for the less initiated Star Wars fans among you, is Star Wars day!

Earlier this year, it was announced that the second season of The Mandalorian would be dropping in October. However, because many TV shows have suspended filming because of the coronavirus pandemic, this is could change.
