Priyanka Chopra is one of the most talked about actresses in the world right now. Since winning the Miss World pageant back in 2000, the multi-talented Chopra has wowed audiences with performances in Bollywood films like Fashion, and made her on-screen Hollywood debut alongside Dwayne Johnson in the 2017 action-comedy, Baywatch.

And whilst becoming one of the most talked about stars on the planet, Chopra caught the eye of former Disney star Nick Jonas, who became so infatuated with the Indian star that he literally slid into her Twitter DMs back in 2016.

Sure, it sounds laughable and it has literally NEVER worked for me, but the attraction was clearly mutual, as the pair would go on to date, and then marry back in December 2018. The wedding took place at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur in a traditional Hindu and Christian ceremonies.

But despite being one of the most talked-about power couples in show business with a celebrity phonebook that must be longer than it takes me to get a single match on Tinder, the couple insisted that the wedding was "super intimate" and "mostly just family". One woman to take grievance with this, however, was the beloved chatshow host, Ellen DeGeneres.

Whilst appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new movie, Isn't It Romantic, DeGeneres decided to hilariously put Chopra on the spot and ask why she wasn't on the guest list for celeb wedding of 2018.

Check out the hilarious moment below, and just look at Chopra's reaction!

The comical interaction started when Ellen asked how many people attended thier big day, to which Chopra responded:

"Usually Indian weddings are like 1,000 people at least. We only had 200 people which was mostly just family because both of us have giant families. Because I think we just wanted to keep it super intimate, about just family. For an Indian family and an Indian wedding, for sure, that’s like less. My mother was so upset with me the entire time. She was like, 'I need to have another people for the 150,000 people I know. How can I not invite my jeweler? How can I not invite my hairdresser?' So it was a whole conversation."

Ellen, who must have been delighted that Chopra took the bait, then playfully called out the actress for snubbing her from the "intimate" 200-person ceremony - going as far as to remind the audience that she was once Nick Jonas' landlord!

However, Chopra took the banter in her stride and explained the Ellen exactly what had happened:

"We were so offended that you didn’t even respond to our invite", Chopra responded DeGeneres.

"That’s not true," DeGeneres interjected, "There was no invite."

"That’s SO true," Chopra continued. "I was like, 'We’re not good enough for Ellen, she wouldn’t come to India. She doesn’t even respond anymore. Nick, you’ve had such a good relationship with her.' I was very offended for him, honestly. But I’m just the wife. I don’t really know anything."

But, as always, it was Ellen's unbreakable demeanor that made the entire "confrontation" absolutely hilarious:

Ellen then dropped the gag, and instead immediately moved on to another one. After telling Chopra that she had got a wedding present for the newlyweds, Chopra was left stunned and in hysterics after finally seeing what it was.

As always, Ellen had the last laugh (along with her viewers, of course).
